AVID Seniors is the extended cut of Seniors, created in a partnership with the AVID Program. It dives deeper into the impact the program had on our three main characters, Arturo, Yordy, and Luis.

The making of Seniors

This film was created as a capstone project for the Film & Media Studies major at Whitman College, by Keelan Booth, Ethan Graham, and Andrew Rivas. Ethan met Arturo, Yordy, and Luis during his time as an AVID tutor at Walla Walla High School, and during the filming, Keelan started working as an AVID tutor at the local middle School. The program’s support of students achieving their higher education goals was inspiring to us, and we were grateful that Arturo, Yordy, and Luis were equally excited about this project.
