Hi, I'm Keelan!
I started taking photos when I received my first camera for my eighth birthday—a point‑and‑shoot 35mm Olympus that I mostly used to photograph my hamster. A few years later, my dad taught me how to develop film and photo prints in our basement darkroom, which sparked a lifelong love of photography and led me to study darkroom photography alongside filmmaking at Whitman College. I’ve been working professionally as a photographer since 2018, shooting everything from family portraits and weddings to product photography, while also selling prints of my landscape and travel photos at art markets. In 2021 I founded Keebee Studios to grow all of my creative pursuits: photography, filmmaking, and illustration.
I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, where I’ve spent most of my life, and in 2025 life led me to New Orleans, Louisiana, where I am finding fresh inspiration in the city’s architecture, foliage, and wildlife. I am still based in Portland part time, and offer photography services between both cities. My style as a photographer is laidback yet passionate, with a touch of perfectionism when it comes to composition and editing. I love getting to know my clients, and creating a relaxed environment where they can be themselves, laugh, and let their personalities shine through.
